Welcome to Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Andalas
Inbound Students of Several Universities from Vietnam and Cambodia
On Thursday, June 08, 2023, the Faculty of Agriculture received 12 foreign students from Angiang University Vietnam and King University Cambodia. On this Occasion the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Indra Dwipa, MS gave a warm welcome to all Foreign Students who first came and visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University.
In his statement, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture said that this visit was part of a program to introduce the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University to the international world. And our goal is that our study program becomes an international study program. With this visit, we hope that more and more students from other countries will also visit our faculty as their destination to continue their studies. For a month, Vietnamese and Cambodian foreign students will learn the Indonesian language, West Sumatran culture and also do community service. We also hope that they will also continue their S2 and even S3 studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture also said that Vietnamese and Cambodian Foreign Students should not hesitate to ask us everything. We are happy to answer it. For our students who are here, we also hope that all of you will accompany guest students while in the faculty of Agriculture. You can make a good friendship with them and this is a moment for you all to share about everything from our culture, our lessons. So these sharing will add to your experience and with this experience will hone your soft skills and will be good for your future.
Likewise our guest students, it is very valuable for all of you who visit us especially this is first time visiting Indonesia. You will see everything you have never seen before in your country such as our culture and many more. And I am sure you will feel at home during your stay in West Sumatra. You will be presented with beautiful scenery because West Sumatra is known as a beautiful place in Indonesia. Not only beautiful scenery, you will also see the art and culture of Minangkabau, one of the tribes in West Sumatra.

Graduation period VI Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas congratulated all graduates and graduates of the Faperta Unand Undergraduate Program at the VI graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas on January 14, 2023.
At today's graduation ceremony, Faperta Unand graduated as many as 101 Bachelor of Agriculture (SP) graduates, 9 Master of Agriculture (MP) graduates and 2 Doctoral graduates (Dr).
If we look further, if this economic recession occurs, the impact caused is the same as the impact of covid-19 which once hit many countries of the world 2-3 years ago. Many countries have entered the brink of recession, said the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Indra Dwipa, MS.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Unand said that all of you are one of the pillars in realizing national food sovereignty. Those of you who have just graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture are still fresh, still have extraordinary enthusiasm. For that, we hope that after this graduation, if you want to go home or still want to spend time in the village first while waiting for job vacancies, build your village, your nagari by strengthening food in your village. You can contribute by inviting people in your village to develop the potential of food crops or other agricultural crops in your village. As a graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture, you have sufficient knowledge and skills to develop agriculture in your village.

Wednesday, November 30, 2022, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas is 68 years old. On the 68th anniversary this year, the Faculty of Agriculture held various series of events and activities until the 68th Anniversary peak event at the Convention Hall building of Universitas Andalas.
The 68th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture was welcomed with joy by the entire academic community of the Faculty of Agriculture. A series of events in order to enliven the Anniversary include a Scientific Oration delivered by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia.
At the 68th Anniversary celebration also attended by the Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi Ansharullah, SP as Chairman of IKA FPUA, Rector of Universitas Andalas, Elders of Universitas Andalas, Alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas.
Book Review Prof. Dr. Ir. Musliar Kasim, MS

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 - The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas in the framework of the 68th Anniversary held a book launching and reviewing activity entitled Musliar Kasim (Notes on the Integrity of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Competencies).
Musliar Kasim's book review was dissected by three speakers, the first speaker was Prof. Dr. rer. Soz. Nursyirwan Effendi (Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Postgraduate School of Unand), the second speaker Prof. Dr. dr. Eva Decroli, SpPD.KEMD, FINASIM (Internal Medicine Specialist) and the third speaker Muhammad Taufik, S.Pt, M.Pt (Alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture Unand).
From the three book reviewers, many impressions and lessons were conveyed from Musliar Kasim's book.
This book review activity was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Dr. Ir. Indra Dwipa, MS which took place in the Convention Hall building of the University of Andalas, Limau Manis Campus, Padang city. The event was attended by Alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture from various generations, Rector and high-ranking officials of Universitas Andalas in his time, Faculty of Agriculture students, lecturers and the entire academic community.
Thousand Tree Planting

Sunday, November 27, 2022 - The Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas, located in Limau Manis, Padang City, the action of planting a thousand trees was opened by planting the first tree by the Governor of West Sumatra as well as the Chairman of IKA FPUA Mr. Mahyeldi Ansharullah, SP, then continued by the Rector of Universitas Andalas Prof. Dr. Yuliandri, S.H., M.H, and accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and all Vice Deans of the Faculty of Agriculture.
This activity was organized in order to enliven the 68th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture with the aim of fostering a sense of environmental love and maintaining a green environment. The planting of a thousand trees in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture was greeted with excitement and joy from students, alumni and lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture.
